Telephone interviewers. This position entails working directly with licensed insurance agents and their applicants. Excellent phone and communication skills are necessary; a medical background and being bilingual are preferred.

Administrative support. Administrators are responsible for coordinating and facilitating Apptical’s day-to-day operations. Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and immensely reliable.

Technology. To build and maintain Apptical’s revolutionary product line, technologists, business analysts and project managers must be highly skilled and technologically advanced with proven problem-solving abilities.

Agile Team Lead / Requirements Analyst / Business Analyst

Apptical Corp. is seeking an experienced Agile Team Lead / Requirements Analyst with leadership skills to facilitate partnership and collaboration between both internal and external customers and the IT team. This is a work from home position with limited travel. This position reports to the CEO.

Job Description /Overview

  • Become an integral part of projects currently in process by getting up to speed quickly and becoming part of an international scrum team (developers in Europe).
  • Write business and functional requirements for ongoing needed enhancements and be able to prioritize these issues.
  • Help with the on-boarding of new clients.
  • Help with or manage the implementation of new products for current clients.
  • Adhere to a follow-up process to ensure business needs are met after project implementation.
  • Help with user acceptance testing as needed.

Requirements / Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum three years Business Analyst experience in a life insurance setting or working for a company that directly works with the insurance industry.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, including system, process, business analysis, and trouble shooting.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Exceptional listening and written communication skills with the ability to accurately describe the business and functional requirements for solutions.
  • Customer-focused and drive to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
  • Ability to complete tasks on a timely basis with minimal supervision and to provide timely and accurate status to management.
  • Experience with project-oriented environments and understanding of the Agile methodology.
  • Detail-oriented with an exceptional ability to both learn on the fly and rapidly change priorities.
  • Experience working autonomously and with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Confident and willing to express and back up new ideas without fear of repercussion.
  • Takes pride in his/her work.
  • Willing to give and receive feedback.
  • Ability to illustrate a scenario and thought process around shifting tasks/priorities quickly.
  • Able to describe a project they were part of that used Agile; articulate likes and dislikes about Agile methodology.
  • Critical thinking skills: Uses logic when dealing with  a problem in order to come up with a real solution. Must be able to provide a solution to the problem immediately . Seeks the long term solution not the ‘quick fix.’
  • Communication (Oral & Written): Effectively communicates to all levels of management as well as employees. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Active Listening: Ability to comprehend and question in order to achieve a complete understanding.
